About our company
Russell’s Landscape Service is a family owned local company in
business in the Salem area since 1965. Our goal is to provide quality
service to our customers for a fair price. We started our business
with the idea of being able to put to your service our experience of
local weather conditions, planting materials, and knowledge of what
grows best in our small corner of the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
We are very familiar with local soils. We use local growers and
suppliers that offer variety and quality of materials appropriate to the
growing conditions of our region.
Our company has many years of experience in the field. Our team is
led by Greg Russell. He was born and raised in Salem. He worked
during the summers and eventually bought the family business that
his father, Eldon Russell, started back in 1965. Greg is an Oregon
State Graduate from the College of Agriculture. His degree in
Landscape and Horticulture provides him with solid knowledge base
of plant materials, soil types, as well as weed control and eradication
techniques. Greg does custom drafting and design.
Another member of our team is John Brandtjen, a native from Ohio,
who moved to Oregon in the early 80’s. John is our Landscape
Projects Manager. He has many years of experience on the areas of
irrigation, masonry, retaining wall installation and decking. He has an
excellent eye for detail.
Our Grounds Maintenance lead workers are hard working and
dedicated individuals who truly enjoy their job. Many of them have
been with our company for many years. They make a professional,
expert, and friendly team. They lead their crews with pride and feel
that they make a difference one yard at a time.
